“The Green Project is highly relevant and in tune
with the (National Children and Nature Network) movement...”
- Pertschuk, The National Children and Nature Network

The GREEN Project is a place-based educational project created in the year 2000 out of a deep seeded modern need for children to physically and imaginatively reconnect to nature through embodied experience. GREEN is a thoughtfully constructed residency program which can be adapted to the time frame of the presenter whereby children (or a multi-generational public) are immersed in the delights of movement in partnership with nature and one another. The residency project culminates in an original multi-media performance with dance, visual art, spoken word/stories and live music created in collaboration with the community cast and the directors of DANCE MONKS, alongside professional dancers. DANCE MONKS offers additional flexible formats for GREEN including: assembly performances as part of their company’s GREEN: A Force of Nature tour, Green Movement workshops and Master classes.
